[ a brunette, mid to late twenties with a work-in-progress beard, checks his watch for the eighth time in the past hour. he makes a note to give his boss hell later on for making this assignment seem like his next big break, when in reality it was starting to feel like a side-gig as a baby sitter. Jesse was told that this Shimada fellow was one of the most dangerous men in Asia, one look from him could kill if his security detail weren't already pointing their guns at you. the thought of going toe to toe with a man like that sent a thrilling chill throughout his body; he could feel it in his fingertips, every time he brushed against the revolver snug on his hip.
but the feeling started to fade into mild annoyance when all he's done for the past hour is stumble in the shadows, nearly tripping over trash cans and stray kittens while he watches the crime lord walk around Hanamura like he's scoping out the best happy hour deals for saké in town. he wouldn't mind if he stayed long enough for Jesse to order a drink himself to past the time, but it was always six or seven minutes before the whole entourage stalked out the door once more.
Jesse sighs, ready to call it a night, already looking down at his watch as he stands in the alleyway of yet another bar. he brings his hand to his ear to turn his comms back on, about to argue with Reyes about this shitty mission, but when he tries to find Shimada for one last update-- he's nowhere to be found. ]
Aw, fuck. [ the blackwatch agent curses when he hears shuffling behind him. his hand flies to his weapon, but sharp metal is already digging into his back, aimed right at his kidney.
